In addition, it presents hand hygiene guidelines and outlines goals for improving hand cleaning as specified by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Healthcare professionals infect millions of people in the process of giving care, treatment, and healthcare services in healthcare organizations.
